Attorney Seth N. Stratton is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Connecticut and maintains a diverse litigation practice focusing on a wide range of corporate, commercial and personal disputes. He has substantial experience with: financial institution litigation; zoning and land use litigation; disputes between shareholders of closely held businesses; insurance coverage disputes; construction and home improvement litigation; commercial collection actions; defense of government enforcement actions and state and federal appeals in various contexts. He has worked on behalf of clients ranging from individuals, partnerships and small businesses to large national and international corporations. Attorney Stratton has experience litigating cases in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and Connecticut, including Massachusetts’ Business Litigation Session and Connecticut’s Complex Litigation Docket.
Attorney Stratton received his Bachelor’s degree cum laude and with honors from Colgate University, his Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the McCormack Institute at UMass Boston and his law degree magna cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, where he served as President of the Suffolk University Law School Moot Court Board and on the editorial board of the Suffolk Journal of Trial and Appellate Advocacy.
Attorney Stratton has focused his pro bono efforts on representing foreign refugees with asylum claims, representing children in neglect proceedings through Lawyers for Children America, and providing legal advice to veterans affiliated with the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans. Attorney Stratton also formerly interned in the Office of the United States Attorney for Massachusetts and, prior to law school, held various positions within the legislative and executive branches of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Stratton was associated with Brown Rudnick LLP in Boston and then Bingham McCutchen LLP in Hartford. He was also an adjunct faculty member at New England School of Law in Boston, where he taught a Legal Analysis class.
Attorney Stratton is a Springfield native and currently resides with his family in Longmeadow. He is a member of the Hampden County Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association.
